Our matcha set, built around the two things most setups get wrong: a bowl shaped for whisking, and a stand that keeps your whisk in shape. Both are handblown from borosilicate glass.

Packaged with an oxygen absorber to keep it fresh. Reseal tightly after each use.
Whisk
Before the first use, bloom the whisk in hot water to loosen the bristles. Before each use after that, soak in hot water for 30 seconds. After whisking, rinse thoroughly and set on the chasentate in direct sunlight to dry.

Every set is covered for one year against seal defects, plus one accidental break per set.

Coffee shop drinks, without the machine.
We've watched it happen over and over. Someone buys an espresso machine, wrestles with it for three weeks, and quietly goes back to their coffee shop. Most people don't want to become a barista. They want the drink.
This is the shortcut. Espresso-strength coffee for the drinks you actually crave, or a clean black cup, made with a spoon and thirty seconds.
The coffee
Huila, Colombia. Roasted in Milwaukee.
We developed this with our favorite roaster in town, Stone Creek Coffee. The beans come from Huila, Colombia, grown between 800 and 1700 meters and washed for a clean, sweet cup. Full-bodied enough to hold up in milk, smooth enough to drink black.

How it's made
It starts as a proper cup of coffee.
We brew a precise, flavorful extract from two ingredients: roasted coffee and water. Nothing else. Then it's frozen solid and freeze-dried under vacuum, so the ice lifts straight out and the flavor and aroma stay put.
Freeze-drying is slow, and that's the point. It preserves the cup we started with. Add water and it comes back.

How many servings are in a jar?
15 servings. One serving makes a double-shot-strength espresso base or a full cup of coffee, depending on how much water you add.
What's the ratio?
For espresso-strength: one serving with 2 oz of hot water. For hot coffee: one serving with 8 to 10 oz. For iced: dissolve in a splash of hot water first, then pour over ice.
How is this different from grocery-store instant?
Grocery instant is built for mass production. Ours starts as a precisely brewed extract of specialty Colombian coffee, then gets freeze-dried under vacuum to preserve the flavor and aroma. Two ingredients: coffee and water.
Does it work hot and iced?
Both. It dissolves in hot water instantly, and for iced drinks you dissolve it in a small splash of hot water first.
How much caffeine is in a serving?
Comparable to a standard cup of coffee, around 90 to 120 mg per serving.
What's the shelf life?
Stored cool and dry, it stays fresh for a long time. Check the best-by date on the jar and keep the lid tight.
How long does it take to get my order?
