The Whisk (Chasen)
Made from a single piece of bamboo with a sturdy base, finished with green thread.

The Chawan — Dishwasher safe. Safe for hot and cold water. Avoid using metal utensils.

The Chasentate — Dishwasher safe.

The Matcha — Packaged with an oxygen absorber to protect freshness. Reseal tightly after each use.

The Whisk — Before first use, bloom the whisk in hot water to loosen the bristles. Before each use, soak in hot water for 30 seconds. After whisking, rinse thoroughly with water and place on your chasentate in direct sunlight to dry.

1-year warranty covering manufacturer defects, shipping damage, and one instance of accidental damage on the glass pieces (Chawan and Chasentate). The matcha and whisk are not covered under our warranty.

What's the difference between the two variants?

The full set includes the FLUR Chawan, Chasentate, Nami Yame Matcha (30g), and Nami Bamboo Whisk. The glass-only option includes just the Chawan and Chasentate if you already have your own matcha and whisk.

Will the chawan break easily?

It's made from borosilicate glass, which is what they use for lab equipment. It handles hot-to-cold temperature changes way better than regular glass. That said, it's still glass. Treat it like you would anything you actually care about. And every set comes with a 1-year warranty that covers accidental damage, so you're covered either way.

Who is Nami?

Nami was started by Ashley Alexander, a content creator and AAPI woman business owner who wanted to make a matcha brand people could actually trust. She traveled to Japan, tested hundreds of varieties, and worked directly with farms in Yame to find the right one. It grew out of her YouTube channel, where her "Matcha Mob" of 39,000 fans helped shape the branding, packaging, and pricing before it even launched. Nami has sold in over 139 countries since, and every batch still sells out in minutes.

How long does the matcha last?

Unopened, it stays fresh for months thanks to the oxygen absorber. Once opened, use it within 6–8 weeks for the best flavor. Reseal tightly after each use and store in a cool, dry place.

Where are the glass pieces made?

Designed in Milwaukee, WI and handblown in China by glassmakers we've worked with since day one. Every piece is individually inspected for clarity and consistency before it ships.

We make the glassware. Nami makes the matcha. We built this set together so everything comes in one box and actually works together. The chawan is shaped for whisking. The chasentate is sized to fit the whisk. And the matcha was sourced by Ashley herself after years of testing in Japan.
