Hojicha Shaken Espresso

Ingredients:

- 2 shots of espresso (or about 2 oz of strongly brewed coffee)

- 1 tablespoon brown sugar syrup (or adjust to taste)

- ½ teaspoon hojicha powder

- ½ cup oat milk (or preferred milk)

- Ice cubes

Instructions:

1. Make your espresso and pour it into a cocktail shaker or a jar with a secure lid.

2. Add brown sugar syrup and hojicha powder directly into the espresso.

3. Fill shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until frothy and chilled.

4. Pour the shaken espresso into a serving glass filled with fresh ice cubes.

5. Top with oat milk (or your preferred milk), and gently stir if desired.

6. Enjoy immediately!

What Is hojicha powder?

Hojicha is essentially roasted green tea leaves ground into a fine powder. Unlike matcha, which has grassy, floral notes, hojicha powder tastes nuttier and more roasted, with subtle hints of cocoa.
